This conversion is honest about what it does, which is worth stating plainly because most tools are not. Each page of the PDF is rendered by pdf.js at twice its natural size, roughly 144 dots per inch, and that image is placed to fill one slide of a .pptx built with pptxgenjs. What you get is a deck that looks exactly like the PDF, one slide per page, with none of the shifted text and broken boxes that come from guessing. What you do not get is editable text, and the reason is the same reason PDF is a poor editing format. A PDF page has no title placeholder and no text box; it has glyphs at coordinates. Tools that claim to rebuild those into shapes are guessing at which runs form a paragraph, and the guess shows up as split lines, wrong fonts and columns interleaved. If the words are what you need, PDF to Word gives you paragraphs, PDF to Text gives you the raw text, and PDF to Markdown gives you structure with the tables kept. What the deck is good for is presenting and building on. You can add slides, write speaker notes, draw arrows and highlights on top, animate your own overlays, and hand the file to someone who only has PowerPoint. It opens in PowerPoint on Windows and macOS, in Keynote and in LibreOffice Impress. Two practical notes. The slide layout is 16:9, so a portrait A4 PDF is stretched to fill it; if your pages are portrait, set the slide size to match in Design, Slide Size, before you start editing, or use PDF to JPG instead. And rasterised pages are heavier than vector ones, so a twenty page document can produce a file of several dozen megabytes. Everything runs inside the browser: the PDF is read locally, the .pptx is assembled locally, and no copy of either is sent to a server.

Can I edit the text on the slides?
No. Each page arrives as one image filling the whole slide, so the words are pixels. If you need the text, PDF to Word gives you paragraphs and PDF to text gives you the raw characters.

PDF is a static format and doesn't support animations. You will need to re-add your transitions and animations in PowerPoint.

Because the slide layout is 16:9 and every page is placed to fill it, so a portrait A4 page gets pulled sideways. Two ways out. Convert as usual, then in PowerPoint open Design, Slide Size, Custom Slide Size and set 21 by 29.7 cm for A4 portrait; the images reflow to the new proportion. Or, if you only want the pages as pictures to drop into an existing deck, use PDF to JPG, which renders each page to its own file at its own proportions and hands you a ZIP.
