actually does
Thirty-five tools in six languages, with the numbers behind them. The awkward parts too.

Nineteen of the thirty-five tools never send your document anywhere. They open it with pdf-lib or pdf.js in the tab you already have, work on it there, and hand back the result. Your file never reaches us. So there is nothing here to keep, nothing to lose, and nothing anyone can ask us to hand over. The other sixteen need something a browser cannot do alone: a LibreOffice conversion, an OCR pass, AES-256 encryption. Those go over HTTPS to our server and are deleted within the hour. Which tool sits on which side is not a matter of taste. Both lists below are read straight from the catalogue the tools themselves use, so neither can drift. One of those nineteen has a door: Scan to PDF is entirely local with this computer's camera, but if you pair a phone by QR, each photo travels through our relay encrypted with a key we never see, and is deleted the moment your computer picks it up.

The numbers

What it does not do
- No batch queue. One document at a time, every tool, with no folder to drop and come back to later.
- Password protection encrypts with AES-256, but the permissions are fixed: printing stays allowed; editing, annotating, form filling and copying the text are denied. You cannot choose them. And because the open password and the owner password are the same one, whoever can open the file can get around those permissions in most readers.
- Compression has one lever. A quality slider, and that is all: nothing here reads your document and picks a preset for you.
- PDF to PowerPoint puts each page on a slide as a picture. Faithful to look at. Not editable afterwards.
- Three tools send extracted text to DeepSeek, a provider outside the European Economic Area: Chat PDF, Summarise with citations, and Translate a PDF. Each one says so on screen before it sends anything.
- Nothing needs an account. An account unlocks no tool the rest of us lack; it raises the daily AI questions from three to five, and that is the whole of it.
