Chat PDF: The AI Revolution for Your Documents

Have you ever wished you could 'talk' to a book, a legal contract, or a scientific paper? Chat PDF does exactly that. Using advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology, this tool transforms static documents into dynamic conversations. You no longer need to read 100 pages to find a specific fact; now you can simply ask the PDF. Our platform uses large language models (LLMs) to analyze the semantic structure of your file, allowing you to extract summaries, search for definitions, contrast arguments, and locate critical information in seconds. It is the ultimate research assistant for students, lawyers, and professionals who value their time.

How to Chat with Your Documents in 4 Steps

RAG Technology (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)

Behind the magic of Chat PDF lies a sophisticated architecture: 1. Vectorization (Embeddings): We convert your PDF text into mathematical vectors that represent the meaning of words. 2. Semantic Search: When you ask a question, we don't look for exact keywords, but for related concepts in the document's vector space. 3. Assisted Generation: The AI uses the most relevant fragments found to generate a coherent and human response, ensuring the information comes strictly from your file to avoid 'hallucinations'.

Benefits by Sector

Students: Summarize theses and academic papers in minutes.

Legal: Find specific clauses in contracts with hundreds of pages.

Researchers: Cross-reference data and verify sources quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions about Chat PDF

Clarifying doubts about document AI.

Is it safe to upload confidential documents?
The document does leave your computer: its text goes to DeepSeek, a provider outside the European Economic Area. The uploaded file is deleted from our server as soon as that text is extracted, the text stays available only for your conversation and expires within an hour, and we keep nothing of it and train nothing with it. What DeepSeek does with the text it receives is governed by their own terms. Transfers travel over HTTPS. For extremely sensitive documents we still recommend an offline tool.
Is there a page limit?
There is no page limit. On a long document the tool does not read from page one; it picks the passages most related to your question and sends up to 8,000 characters of them as context, so a 400 page report answers as fast as a 4 page one. The real limits are elsewhere and worth knowing: the PDF must be under 10 MB, and without an account you get three questions a day. The counter runs on the calendar day, so closing the tab does not give you three more.
What languages does the AI understand?
Our model is multilingual. You can upload a PDF in English and ask questions in Spanish, French, or German, and it will answer in the language you prefer.
Can it read tables and charts?
The AI reads text. A table with a clear structure it can follow; a chart, being a picture, it cannot. For a scan with no text layer, run it through the OCR PDF tool first and then come back here.
Are the answers 100% accurate?
The AI is based solely on the text of your document. If the document contains the answer, it will find it. We always recommend verifying the provided citations for critical work.
